I find a good way to find new stuff is just to go out and buy a Euro techno mix album. I'm acctually making my own techno songs as I type this. It's fun as hell. I have fruity loops, it's a nice program that does the trick.

But yeah just grab some Euro mixes and you'll find stuff you like.

haha yeah that **** blows. Basicaly don't get stuff that you hear on the radio. Make a friend who is a DJ and plays electronic, house, ambient, and trance. Thats how you learn new groups. Or just seach for MP3's of those catagories and just see what you find. That is what I usually do.

If ya want really thick electronic music search for "trance" on kazaa or whatever you use, trance is a type of electronica, like acid is to rock. If you want an electronic sound but kind of a surfer style tune search for "looper" its one of my fav bands, some of their music was in that movie vanilla sky with tom cruise ( it was playing at his birthday party)

Looper. That's funny. I remember when you could download pretty much the entire Looper CD off mp3.com. I thought they sounded too good to stay in the shadows for long. I'm a looper.

    you will NOT be disappointed

These people are all pretty well known but if you go to your local music store here is what you do. Look through the techno section. Find a couple albums you are interested in and give them a blast in the store. You will find alot of neat groups you just won't hear about anywhere. Then you can post about it here so I can check it out too.

I've been really digging the downtempo stuff lately. I turn everybody I can onto Kruder & Dorfmeister. Peace Orchestra and Tosca share the same personnel. Thievery Corporation is really outstanding too. I could go on and on...
