Punk shows are the way to go. 10 bucks will get you three bands or so and you can usually find you someone to buy you beer.

I hear that. Except less than 10, the only places around here that charge that much are the sleaze holes run my guys who don't know their ####.

I'm seeing about 40 bands in the next 2 months and it'll only cost me about $35 total. Plenty of people try to tell me my bands suck for charging so little but I know they're only trying to justify their $100 Rolling Stones ticket.

Yeah punk gigs are still my fav too. I've been to a good 3 to 400 for the past 9 to 10 years. Cost me a lot in total but it's still good value for money. For a long time it was 1 or 2 each week.

I like punk shows because I like to get near the stage...but I'll go see any band that I like.

GYMclass heros/patentpending/endeverafter show at the boardwalk in orangville was soo sick, anyone who hasnt hit up a gymclass concert needs to put that on your todo list...
also for the norcal people theres suppose to be a falloutboy concert with them playing some of their newstuff but its seems like the only shows that still have tickets on sale are in detriot and minnispolis( icant spell) check the link

Anybody go to teh Rise against/Thursday show!! they came to seattle a coupel weeks ago and it was awesome!!! at the end fo the thursday show this one guy punched the lead singer Geoff Rickly in the face and geoff punched back. it was pretty awesome.

Oh sweet, thanks for telling me about Catch 22. I hope to go to the Towson show.

Nothing coming up, unfortunately. Austin had this great influx of good hip-hop coming through but it suddonly stopped. I went to the One Self show a few weeks back and it was one of the best shows I've been to, I suggest checking them out if they're in your town.

Dragonforce on thursday. Killswitch at the beggining of next year and The Bronx/Rise Against in spring.

Recently been to see The Bronx (awesome, the singer spent 3 songs singing from within the crowd), Metric (so-so), MC Lars (hilarious) and AFI (always good live).

spook are you going to see dragonforce? theyre the most talented guitarists ever through the fire and flames is an awesome song and i dont even like metal.
