Lately I can't get enough of Iggy Pop and the Stooges. Also Jurassic 5, Marty Friedman, and Robert Randolph and the Family band, oh and the Allman Bros. Basically I'll just put the iPod on shuffle and let the music take me on a little journey.

I have been listening to Minor self indulgence, Turbonegro, and Bad Religion on my mp3 player lately. It's a pretty weirdly kick ass mix on shuffle.

I listen to some classic rock like zepplin, sometimes I listen to some music thats a bit more out there like Muse or Mars Volta, has a nice smooth sound for carving. I usually only listen to music when I carve at night, ill go to a parking lot or school black top, pop the headphones in and just carve it up.

Anything intense is where it's at doing anything downhill. Minor Threat and 2Pac's "Hit 'Em Up", "Bomb First", and "Troublesome '96" is my high speed playlist. For more casual carving on mellow hills, I like something a little more laid back. Some Hieroglyphics, Sublime, or Blue Scholars.

When I ride DH there is usually no way in hell it would be safe to listen to music :P Too many cars and other sounds I want to hear. The sounds of the wheels loosing traction and start to drift etc.
I hate signatures, so i turned them off
