Except it is a title about Hardcore. A lot of people I know who like Hardcore like metal as well. I love elitist metal heads, they are way cooler because they can tell you to be a bigger man and listen to something else.

BTW, Beneath The Massacre is garbage, all of the songs on their new album have the same drum pattern.

Hardcore has always been a debatable topic on Silverfish. When I first came here I started a thread about my favorite "hardcore" bands which I now realize are a different genre (mainly deathcore) and got in a big dumb argument about the subtle lines between genres which are virtually identical.

Bottom line is if you don't like hardcore get the fuck out of this thread. Go start a thread about Cannibal Corpse or Pig Decapitator or whatever you want to bitch about.

a) This thread is about hardcore music.
b) beneath the massacre is pitiful, the only band you listed that's worth a damn is Nile.
c) I still love metal, so if it will make you happy I'll throw out some suggestions for some real metal bands:

CRYPTOPSY (death metal that's been around forever)
MERCENARY (euro metal with a dash of power metal)
DARKEST HOUR (trash metal sexiness)
DARK TRANQUILITY (euro metal)
PROTEST THE HERO (breakbeat experimental metal)
THE BREATHING PROCESS (death metal with a dash of hardcore)
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER (like a necrophiliac orgy in a cemetery)
FROM THE SHALLOWS (Metal/Harcore Mix)




And on the topic of hardcore being debatable: All the bands on deathwish are mainly traditional hardcore. I am absolutely disgusted with the "new hardcore scene" and I hate a majority of the bands.

You guys are funny. personally i love death core. We have some good local bands here in AZ. Job For a Cowboy is an amazing band. hardcore is okay and metal is good ill go check out some of your suggestions.

jfac is pretty pitiful. People are always like "yeah man yeah i like death metal man, you heard of job for a cowboy man? they're like the best death metal band ever man"

yeah they made an ep with one decent song (entombment of a macheine) and the only reason that song was even cool at all was because of the little break and scream.

then they put out that full length that was plain pathetic

the only people left that actually like them are scene kids that went to a show and thought wearing girl pants, two belts, and a bandana over your face was cool so they decided to start listening to the music




Oh and sorry. I've been listening to people talk about them FOREVER and I just kinda decided the next person was gonna get the rant.

Metal is such a polarizing issue...
It is an interesting line between punk and hardcore, I do think there is a line, though like most cousins in music it's a gray one.

I probably would have liked hardcore when I was younger, now I'm into music thats.. suicidal I guess, as emo as that sounds.

emmure is a perfect example of no talent a$sclowns trying to cash in on a fad

"breakdowns" are apparently "in"

everyone is just trying to sound deeper and more "brutal"

when really they're just ruining the music

play it at 1/2 speed (even though acacia is pretty slow already, haha)

if anyone else has any cds that they think are the summit of musical talent / perfection I would certainly be interested in listening to them.

I love alot of modern music, but not many artists can match the previously listed candidates

although I'm considering adding:
