what i do is pirate to try out the music, if the band members are mostly or all dead that's all i do.
but if i like the musicians, and they're still alive i buy the cd and try to support them.

try typing what song, artist, album you want and torrent after it on google.
you should get what you want.

10 ft. ganja plant and John Brown's Body ftw! they are awesome. As for me, I'm lucky, my dad likes most of the music I listen too, and he prefers iTunes, so I just buy stuff off iTunes.

But I'll use torrents often too for some things I just can't find.

public library, used tapes/vinyl/CDs, buy the CD if i really like the artist/disc's on sale/i have a coupon.

oh, and iTunes sometimes, but only because i'll get gift cards as presents for major holidays.

I can't listen to burned CDs. That 4-5 second pause between tracks... ugh. I buy vinyl, CDs, tapes, anything that plays music and is interesting, and involves me interacting with the artist. I just don't understand ripping songs off the internet, you get no album art, no liner notes, and there's just something fun about walking back to the car and popping the new disc in right away which a torrent could never hope to match...

But I'm kind of an audiophile.

When I'm hungry I try some Waffles. Sometimes I have no idea What is going on. Sometimes you just gotta seek through your soul because it may have been infested by a demon. And if all else fails, I'd rather STM than STD.
