    Default Aesop Rock

just wondering who else is a fan of Aesop Rock?

a few weeks ago, there was a Def Jux show here in hawaii,
with Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, El-P, and Cage.
The show ****in blew my mind. my friends and i were right up
against the stage and i got a high-five from both El-P and Aesop.

    it was a great night.

and to relate it to skating (since this is a longboarding forum) when i left the concert i met Ethan Lau (IGSA - The Official Gravity Sports Web Site - 20 Questions: Ethan Lau) outside.

sop's the man, no doubt about it; his older stuff with blockhead is his pinnacle in my opinion.

definitely. el-p put out a sick performance.

and you woulda loved when all three of 'em came out (aesop, el-p, and cage) for a song.
the crowd went nuts, and they all had such great flow together.

Oh, man, I wish I could see Cage and the Weathermen. I don't always like analyzing Aesop Rock but his stuff is so deep. One thing for sure, you couldn't rock past-el even if you wore light blue.

absolutely a sick artist. his rhymes are a little under-developed at times but his beats are original.

I think aesop just uses some stuff for filler because of the assonance, alliteration, and blah blah blah effects. I dont think all of his lines always have a meaning, or significance, its just appealing to the ear.
