News that Lux Interior died yesterday

Dont know how many Cramps fans are on here, but I know there has got to be a few. they were my favorite band of all time. Got my first album in 79 and now I have around 30. Wow, what news. Thats too bad.

Sad. Saw them play live in Oslo so long ago I can't remember.1985 I think. Pretty wild show as Lux was drunk off his ass and high as a kite. He drank about 2 bottles of wine duing the show

The Cramps were mine and my wifes and my best mates favorite band. Lux was a legend.

Yeah, I read it earlier today.
Totally gutted.

I saw them a few times in the late 80s.
Lux personally inspired some of my worst hairstyles (when I still had hair).

Pull on your leopard-print hot-pants, dig out your Elvis wig-hat and make some big, nasty noise (in E-Major, obviously) for Mr. Lux Interior!

Actually i think he had a good run. 62 ain't bad for the things that character was involved in. I am saddened by the news and will miss him dearly. The only good thing I can say is that I got to see them the last time they were in town. Otherwise I would be even more devastated.

i only saw them once at Xfest in the early 90's but they were the band who looked to be having the most fun on stage

Man, I listened to that clip of 'Tear it Up' from Urgh! A Music War... man it just makes me sad now.

Everyone, go buy the Cramps 'Making a Monster' CD or something, the one with the early live stuff on it. Best capture of two 70's punk venues before and after punk became a common term.
