anyone listen to the new alice in chains cd yet, debating to buy it or not.
just doesnt seem like alice in chains without layne.
Layne was the best frontman and him and Jerry Cantrell's harmonies were groovy. I t doesnt seem like they are trying to up their game , just stay the same. I don't think it sucks, it sounds like Alice. I think Jerry writes most of the #### anyways.
any fans of folk metal out there? some of my favorites are korpiklaani, finntroll ( they might not be considered folk metal, but close enough) and eluveitie

Edit: Didn't realize you've already been through this thread... I wouldn't expect a response about Alice in Chains from metal heads.
Listening to Opeth at the moment. Wonderful music to match the rainy weather

it did catch my attention when the vocals started...
They were raw when i saw them last night with the saviours and kylesa. The Saviours ripped it the hardest i thought. red fang and the saviours are all super chill dudes.
New Alice in Chains... Of course it's not Layne, but it is pretty good. Not sure where they found this guy but it does sound like Layne, give it a shot, got it the other day, but my headphones crapped out. The one listen I did have impressed me.
Also Opeth is the SHIZZZZZ!!!!!! Love em!
Heard one Korplikanni (spelling), off a Nuclear Blast demo cd. Reminded me of COB. I could get in to them I think.
