Default the official guitar player thread

just got this amp in the mail last night, ####### stoked. 100 watts through 2x15s pretty much punches you in the chest.

its actually an 1973 Earth Sound Research g2000 (never heard of them before either). i guess it's a direct ripoff of the fender twin reverb's schematics. it's built like a tank though, all military grade point to point wiring. edit: did i mention it's got 10 farking tubes?

Looks badass! You can't beat good wiring when it comes to 100 watt earthshakers.
I just sold my JCM 800 last week.

Ohh amps! I have had quite a few nice ones over the years, I`ve had four old Marshall Plexis(66" JTM45, 66`and 67`100w Super Leads and a 67`50w) , various JCM800`s , Peavey 5150, Mesa Boogie Triaxis/2:90, Bruno Underground 30 and I probably forgot a few.
I`m down to one amp now(not counting the Roland MicroCube), a totally unknown Apollo 1. It`s one of three amps ever made by Steve Brewer, in his kitchen I believe..
It`s based on a Dumble Overdrive Special, totally handwired and sounds super sweet. I have a small clip using it here

Since I mentioned the Roland MicroCube, it`s the best little bedroom amp I`ve ever used, great sound and even sounds pretty good plugged directly into my computer, here`s little example of just that: wanking

Woah I've never seen a head box like that. Or is it part of the head? Looks comfy.

    I rock a Vox.

    Oh gawd, Blix.

Since you mentioned Dumble I'm posting the Dumble pRon. Not mine, but something I used to be obsessed with.

Your Apollo sounds way cool/intriguing. Unfortunately, my work computer has no sound, but I'm looking forward to hearing you rip when I get home.

Hm. Well currently I am stuck with a 30 watt Crate acoustic amp that I got for free. To play electric on. HA. But maybe when my funding frees up from skateboards and cameras I'll work on a nicer amp. I would LOVE a Vox, but we'll see about that. Guitar wise, I'm rocking a Tele.

awwwww...shucks. You coulda bought my Marshall. I should have advertised it here first and given the skate peeps a shot at it.

BTW Zimmer- that Naylor on Ebay is so choice. I don't need/can't afford the cab though. Man. $2499.00 OBO pretty good price, really.
