Anyone getting into dubstep? Usually around 140 bpm, with half time drums, and wobbly swelling bass lines. Check out subfm.com, and you'll find some great sh#t
Big in the Bay area, Lukki, Djunya, and Juju are blowing the speakers out there, also much respect goes to all the O.G.s in the U.K. Rusko, Caspa, Skream, Benga, Kromester, Vex'ed, and armies of others.
As for Heady astro dub, look no further then Burial. He brings a kind of Flying Lotus like, spacey atmosphere to his tracks.
That's why I like a lot of the bay area dubstep coming out recently, dubstep is kind of joining forces with the hyphy glitch hop scene out there and there has been some fresh styles brought into it. I like ragga and dancehall though, except some of it seems a bit over the top, ragga twins for instance, and I hate 4/4 trance style beats. I got started with these different sounds from getting into Drum 'n' Bass back in the day.
Glitch mob is so sick, edit rocks it so hard. It just sucks they wanna play all the clubs with the damn raver ####s.
Some other good #### to check out if you like Glitch Mob:
Pretty lights (free CD on website, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Sporque
Vibesquad
EOTO
Zilla
Sound Tribe Sector 9 (old stuff is slower, new stuff has serious womp womp)
I ####### love all kinds of music, but right now I find myself in a serious electronic stage. The scene is cool, but it is going in directions very south from my intentions. I love the music, but I would hate to not enjoy live music because of the raver kids with animal hats and those ####### douche bag LRG ####s! As far as dubstep, I don't smoke DMT.
People talk about Dubstep all the time. Where should I get started? I think I've heard stuff and it kinda creeped me out, but I'm all about listening to ridiculously weird ####. Where should I start?

I hate raver babies too. I've only been to one rave, in '02, and that was enough. I'll scope those out man, thanks.

I've been trying to listen to some dubstep, but it's not doing anything for me. It sounds too "chill" for me. I'm more into acid, tribal, and progressive, along with some hardcore and hard dance styles. I was wondering if my musical interests are outdated, but that slammin 4 on the floor still gets me going.
love it. dub (and its various iterations) has been gaining popularity steadily for quite some time now, but its definitely blown up in the last year or two. any kind of breaks tickle my fancy, but dnb-->uk garage-->dub is how it has gone for me, and are still my favorites as far as electronic music goes.
