Lil' Wayne sucks

Lil' Wayne was a bad rapper, but better than some. Not even close to the best rapper alive. Now that he went "punk", he is probably the worst artist I've heard in a long time. If you think he's good, you're just wrong.

real rappers are in it for the music, and to get a message across to their audience. Not for money. That's what sets me off: when "musicians" make music for the money, and people listen to their music more than they do with real music just cuz its popular.

Everyone who likes Lil wayne outta go out and listen to cats like mos def, talib kweli, immortal technique, and common. that's the real music.

Ps everyone should check out some jazz too, cuz that's where hip hop and rap came from.8)

just because someone is making money doesn't mean they're not a musician.
and I'm pretty sure rap didn't come straight from jazz either. You could argue that hip hop has a basis in soul I guess.
I agree Lil Wayne is pretty rubbish, but if someone likes the music he is making fair play to them, and he must be doing something right as a songwriter because people are buying his records.

You do know that (edit: modern/mtv/mainstream/etc.) "rap" is just stealing music/beats/songs that other people have done before and putting your words on it right?
