    Default Cadillac Mt Trip

Hey i was thinking we should organize a trip up to cadillac mountain in maine, its pretty far into maine so i was thinking maybe we could get a group to all head up together and camp out there for the weekend. I checked out camping spots and its $20 a night per spot. I was talking to slugman and he said its got a no skateboarding policy and it gets really busy during the day but we could make morning/night runs and the rest of the day just chill out and enjoy the area. I don't know the difficulty of the roads up there so if anyone could fill me in on that that'd be sick, but is anyone interested cause this would be a rad trip to get organized.

I would suggest against it. My grandparents were up there a few weeks ago and they said it was really ####### busy and stayed busy until about 10. They were driving home at 9.30 PM and had a freaking traffic jam on the road. Also the saw some cops patrolling the area. The road is not lit at night.
It would be fun, but it would be hard to do. Are there any other epic DH spots around?

There are days when Cadillac is not bustling. It's called not the summer time.
If you look on youtube there's a car-run down Cadillac sped up a little.. just about luge-speed. It'd be a fun "cruise" but if you're bombing get ready to hold those turns..
As for DH lots in NH but I don't know of many in Maine, not saying they don't exist...

Regarding a trip I think it would be wonderful, but you'd have to pick riders carefully IMO. I wouldn't want to ride it with anyone who didn't know what they were doing though, cars are a guarantee though the amount of them is not. When you have fast riders up front, slow riders in back, with a tail car, and the cops come, it can be a sketchy situation. Riders that can keep together are better at hittin' and quittin'.

"Secret" tidbit: (this Mt mostly was too but since the original boys had to go bomb it without ####### helmets and put it on youtube... I guess I better get used to that ####)
Cadillac is close enough to the water that snow tends to not fall on it.
Cadillac is nice enough in summer that people flock there.

Put 2 and 2 together, you get pie. Mmmm, Pie.

I don't know if this post contained any help... But it does have trace elements of pie.

I would love to do a trip though and everyone seems to be itching for a New England Outlaw, so we need to do some serious research on hills.

Any ideas on how to find hills?
Anyone know of any good ones?

Finding hills: Google Earth + Wasting gas with a longboard in the back seat.
Find a hill, get out and ride with a tail car.
If it's good, you get back in and go back up. If not, you keep driving.
