Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone is from Newport, RI. I'm here for a week and I was wondering if anyone was from here and knows places or is from Newport and would like to ride. My brothers wedding is later this week and I'm just hangin around with my Dancer in the room looking at it.

Newport sucks. Tiverton has some good ####, Bristol has a sick hairpin spot, and Providence is nuts.

Yeah only problem is we all went in family cars so I can't drive anywhere else. I'm looking for places close or people that are close haha.

Newport is good for sailing, not longboarding.
Way to effin crowded during the day and there isn't much to board there anyhow.

head to bristol instead.

Hahaha, I'd rather be riding I already got myself a girl. I just gotta keep riding and I don't want being stuck in Newport to stop that.

Yeah, FBD was right on point! I lived in Newport for a summer and in between summer work and get'n drunk I would take late night runs to Via Via to grab a pizza and just about everytime I went for a latenight cruise I would find myself get'n hit on by drunk chicks. Lil did I know a few years later I would get married to one of those sloppy drunk girls-gotta love Newport!

It's depressing how few good roads there are here, I mean eveeeerywhere is filled with cars...and shortboarders. Sad face.

i boarded around newport today and i thought it was alright, but not spectacular. there are some pretty tight, but diesel hills on the side streets, but that's really it. flowing with traffic was okay, but way too dangerous. the best place i found was around salve regina because the dead-ends that go towards cliff walk are on a slope and good for sliding.

besides that, not that fun.
