Boston Bomb(idea)

If they ice over just go down them on a shortboard with no trucks, its fun!
And yeah, the plowing here is shitty too, its annoying looking for good roads to skate, and snowboarding really doesn't transfer over to longboarding that much, past the basics

Snowboarding is a completely different feel than anything on wheels to me. It has nothing to do with carving or anything in particular... just the feel

I skate all winter long, cause if you don't keep skating you get out of practice, and I can't have that happen when the races start in spring!

Ps, don't know if I mentioned, my brother lives on Mission Hill, so thats where I'll be

yea I usually get too much snow during the winter, the roads are nearly always wet, or covered with snow. also skating in a winter jackets doesn't seem too enjoyable.
Ive never used a short board truckless on snow but i have used one on a trampoline which was a ton of fun.

Hey, we should get a facebook group going so it's easier to get boarders together.
there's only so much we can do to set up rides through a forum thread.
That way boarders could shout out when and where they're riding and others can join.

If you already know of an active group, could u let me know? I've found a couple, but they seem pretty lifeless.

The dream is still alive! we decided to just wait till spring to reconvene because it was getting too late in the season to do it last fall. (we still need to decide the race path)

if we end by the state house theres some good hills over there to show off on
all accessible by T as well

yea guys, come on, lets get this back up and running!! I go to school in boston and totally missed this thread when it was happening in november. I'm always out for a good ride and doing a push race across boston would be great. I think doing something from mission hill out to the commons or fanuel hall would be great. I like kossmonaut's path, going down bolyston would be good.

and if anyones going out for a skate in boston, hit me up. i'm down for some cruising/garages/mission hill.

if people were located in boston and wanted to really do a fun ride through the busier streets, doing one around midnight/1am generally has ever street empty and perfect for a mob of boarders.

Alright! that route looks great, is there a reason why you have that kink onto Newbury street instead of staying on com ave? Just trying to make the route as simple as possible, don't want people getting lost.
I like the idea of ending at the commons but what do people think of having the race end on a fairly steep hill?(uphill)
