Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
Im interested. Sounds fun, and I'd be happy to support an old friend. After all, I was at your 40th birthday party!

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
Thanks Stupe Man. Doesn't look like a lot of interest so far. I'll try some e-mails and FB posts - but if interest still lacks, probably won't bother....

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
Depends on the parade. I've been in parades that creep like a slug, stopping every 80 feet. I'd imagine it'd be boring unless they allowed skaters freedom over formation, meaning one could skate up and down the line at will.

passing out candy on a TS board is so much fun.
Those damn shriners and their go carts slow down the parade.

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
Hooker Beer sponsored the Farm this year so they're a cool company to show support towards. I'm sure Joe will want to make it out to return the favor. I'm still in town but only until the end of the month, if I'm free I'll try to make it out.
Sounds like a fun time.

I doubt that. I've been in 3 parades and attended many others. The shriners here go pretty quick. It's the traffic detours and unloading loop. Often, room runs out for other groups to break down their equipment. Man times, it's stick shift vehicles such as trucks and homemade floats.
Sometimes, cops will stop the floats here and let a quick burst of traffic across.

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
I plan to submit the form - looks like we are ON!
I reached out to Michael Brook - he is going to send some CW stickers to hand out.
Wayne from S_Z will do the same, he is in Vermont this weekend. Anyone feel free to get ANY stickers you can to hand out - from your local skate shop or wherever.
Please help spread the word (even if you cannot make this).
I'm gonna reach out to the NY/NJ folks too - come one come all.

yo im down, hit me up with the any further info that you get.. hopefully i see you guys there..
I skate because there's no Facespace, no Mybook, no Twatter, no eMail, no television, no commercials, no celebrities, no zillion dollar sports teams. No bulls--t whatsoever... It's just me, the pavement, one deck, two trucks, four bushings, four wheels, eight bearings, and some mounting hardware. My very own little race car, my own flight simulator, and it feels f--king great. ^^FlyKneeGrow^^

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
I do not think this is a "sanctioned event" Sprodigy - just something for ha ha's. I think afterwards is party time - but if enough are willing to go bomb somewhere we could - I personally would love to be on a quest to find parking garages in
Hartford to bomb!!!
Locals - some share your spot to bomb...

I'll submit the form and turn it in to him. Stay tuned for details of where and when to meet up. Parade is @ 3:00. I'll get details this week. I would guess we meet at around 1 or 2pm...

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
I'd find my way there somehow... if this was a parade full of slutty hookers touring the town in droptop vintage muscle cars rumbling and rapping around on uncapped Hooker headers.
Oh hell yeah, it'd be worth the trip.

Re: Anyone Want to Skate in a Parade...
I need a legit roll call for this Saturday - I have a feeling it will be me and StickY. (If thats the case I am gonna pass - sorry)
I got the parade details today. Free Parking - the parade ends at Mayor Mikes Bar with a HUGE party afterwards. The route is basically a few blocks and mainly around the XL Center area - not a long one - but decent enough.
I have exact details, but in .pdf format - PM me and I will pass it along (I am unable to copy and paste details.)
