    Parking lots and other flat areas. Why do you to ask to find a flatland spot? Hills are harder to find.

    Try the Farmington River Bike Trail. Not sure how far it is from Avon - but it goes for miles and is mostly flat - at least the parts I rode on (Farmington & Cheshire/North Haven)
