    Default PHP Slide and Slalom

OK I found this place a while back but didn't get to skate it until this morning. It's in north Westerly RI off of Potter Hill road in a unfinished housing developement called Potter Hill Preserve. At the top of the hill there is a circle set on a shallow hill, both sides are pretty good for running cones though a broom is needed to eliminate some sand and such. The hill you have to drive up to get to the top is pretty big, if it had a run out I would think about DHing it. It starts with a short jog to the right before going into a 120* left that leads into the steep section and an eventual sweeping right, where it flattens out near the gate of the development and Potter Hill Road. Smooth asphalt 2-3 years old at least, I slid for a bit this morning on my crappy wheels only to return home and home my Slide A's on the porch so I'll likely go back tomorrow (before the snow) and shoot some photos after I try out the new wheels

since it's an incomplete housing development it's not really google able but put this is the Lat/Long
+41° 24' 12.25", -71° 48' 35.80", It's the next road to the left on Potter Hill road after Laural Ave. There are big stone gate posts on either side of the road and a sign that says Potter Hill Preserve, Drive to the top of the hill. and park.

    Default Cones in the snow

I spent a couple hours running cones today because I didn't want to snowboard the slush the local hill has become and the probablity of rain/snow made me not want to drive to Wheelabrator. Anyway in the middle of my skating a snow squall blows through and my cones go flying. I quickly reset everything doubled up and continued to skate, getting faster and faster as the snowflakes plastered me but didn't seem to stick to the ground. The sun finally came back out but the wind stayed strong down course making for a great roll in to every run. I've never run so tight a course and after punting cones every run for an hour it was during the snow that I finally got the sync for such a tight course. After that I'd run a clean about every other run of punting a cone or two. It was fun to clean up afterwards and see the track down the street without the cones.

Sounds fun Tony. I'd like to try my luck with some cones one day
