    Default West Hartford Reservior

West Hartford Reservior is 3.5 mile bike loops through a wooded area in central CT.
It offers downhill sections and turns with speed in the 30-40MPH range.
Here's a video from this past fall I put together to sort of showcase the place.

    West Hartford Reservior

NOTE: All of the skating in this video was done by me with a broken coller bone. Actaully speeds that can be reached will be much greater than you see in this video.
I had to take it on the slower side obviously because I had a broken bone.
It just shows a bunch of the runs it has to offer.

This place looks AWESOME. It is also VERY centrally located for many of us. Keep posting dates you will be heading there. (Again I am eagerly awaiting a bit of a warm up before I spend an afternoon skating)...

I will definitely go there. How are the run-offs on the fast portions?

My girlfriend lives like 2 minutes away from there so you can expect me to be there often when it drys up enough to skate.

    It's plenty dry right now.

I'm waiting on more day light so we can session in the early evening.

This is an awesome place to skate. I have been skating here for years. It's fun to go with a pack and do a few laps. Also there are some really cool look-outs for when you went to take a break for some fresh air. the place is really beautiful. weekends are packed when it's warm but right now this place is so dead.

pavement ranges from awesome to terrible but the runs are fun. some debri but the runouts and corners are very managable. Helmets are required by the park.

It would be fun to hold a race. something like fastest two laps. You can change the size of the loop you want to take. there are many options.
they asked me to be their manager. i'll called bullsht on that

Stupendous Man - Great to see you here again. I am down for some early morning runs, gotta wait for it to warm up a bit. Sundays would be best - (sure beats going to Church!)

I'd be down. I go back to CT to visit the folks once a month or so, and that's right on the way from Worcester.

Is there a particular meet-up spot? I'll bring cones, if anyone's into that...
