    Default Worcester

Anyone else skate in Worcester? I'm looking for some good hills in less shady places. I nearly slid into a crack deal the other night near my apartment. I don't want to get shot.

I wish I knew of some good places in that city. Worcester has THE best rock club I have ever been to - the Palladium - Wish I was going to the NE Metal/Hardcore Fest. Megadeth Friday night - Shadows Fall Saturday. When I make it up there for a show sometime - I would love to explore longboarding there - but NOT in the "hood". Good luck.

I know North of Worcester has some ski areas - there must be some decent down hilling up 395...

I would hardly call Nashoba Valley, Bradford, and Wachusett ski areas (actually the road up to wachusett is pretty fun) but head out to the western part of the state and there are sick hills.

I smell a Berkshire Bomb - lots of good camping up that way too. Get something going and post it!

I take it back, sort of. Greenhill park is pretty nice. There's a hill that's about 9/10 of a mile that's almost entirely free of crackheads.

Any of the neighborhoods near Assumption college. There are some killer hills off of Moreland Drive. Very low traffic and street lights are common.

Moreland is sick itself, but heavy traffic. I slid it once and almost died. Those private roads like paul revere and stuff are pretty good too. I go to assumption and wouldn't mind skating more...

Worcester is actually great for longboarding but the nighttime is best for choice spots. As for the ghetto aspect I ride with a buddy and a dirtbike tire iron just incase. Surrounding areas such as grafton offer some great hills. Providence has the gravity games luge hill complete with starting grid. Well its 4 or 5 hills that connect together and one of them is oncoming traffic. Again, the nighttime is always best for longboarding in a city. Watch out for the monthly parking garage adjacent to the centrum. We hit it one night and found a guy bigger than jason voorhies in the lowest level coming right at us. He was not a security guard. World largest homeless man perhaps.

Oh yeah dont go to the WPI parking garage either. It is new and perfect but we didnt even get a full run in before WPI rent a cops and worcester cops were there. They put us on the list, searched us, and checked for warrants. Douche didnt find my trees though.
