Tailgate Picnic @ Overlook

Keep an eye open, and ears to the ground for this one. No worries, care-free day of skating, and BBQ picnic. We will set up the grill at Overlook park, where there is a small picnic area, and skate on Deerfield. There is also a sweet bike path that leads to the alternative picnic site, in case we need to expand or move. The community there is pretty indifferent to us skating, as long as we are safe, and do cause too much rawkus. The cars are slow and very manageable, and yes this is outlaw. The runs are great for sliding, drifting, and bombing. The bike path seems to go on forever with some excellent runs through-out. We hope to make this a Pot Luck, depending on the number of people who show, maybe even some shwag to give away.

Give us a heads up when you're planning to have the event. I'd definitely be up for a trip to Vermont, we've been talking about getting out of the city for a change.

Is there any good camping in Vermont nearby? Preferably wilderness area, not campgrounds.

There are some good wilderness areas all around the park, some skating distance, I am not sure if it is completely legal to camp there, but there are some good spots for a night...as long as it's one night in one place, you should be fine.

Be checkin the fine event calender here on the 'fish for the exact date, time,directions, back-up venue, alternative parking, and item list. Since this is outlaw we are not advertising any times or dates on the flyer it's self.

Come early if you'd like for the Ridin' High Graffiti Party that is taking place the 11th and 12th of April. The shop gets a fresh coat of steez.

Oh it's still on!! but i think instead of burgers and dogs, we are getting some BIG HOGIES! less preparation and no need for the grills.

I want to come...but none of my friends want to man-up to head to Vermont "just to longboard". Will this event be non-skater friendly? Like if I brought someone that didn't longboard, would they be bored out of their mind?

They can eat food, relax, enjoy the scenery, or use my camera to take pictures for us. This area offers a lot of varied terrain for all skill levels, making it the best place to learn how to longboard. I can guarantee they won't be the only non-boarder. I think my mom is going.... Burlington is home to three colleges, over a dozen bars and clubs, with excellent food and night life. We will accommodate anyone and everyone!

Rain-date is next weekend...actually...this might become a weekly thing...so definite keep us in mind when planning your next trip!
