The Bad Trip (Exploring North Hamden, Litchfield, Bethany, Woodbridge, New Haven)
So my mom won't take me to wheelabrator.... :'( :'(
Part 1
Instead me and my friend leave my house in Central Hamden, travel 3 miles up rt. 10 the 3-4 miles up some steep hills to Still Hill rd and do some DH. We leave from "the loop" and travel another mile or two up gaylord mountain and hit many surrounding side roads and find some sizeable corner's, but nothing to really care about. We go to the top of Gaylord Mountain and visit some friends.
Part 2
Here's where we ####ed up.... We start down gaylord mountain. Slow and sketchy at first and instead of going down the straight maybe 1/2 mile of sketch steep pavement on West Woods road where we originally came up we continued on Gaylord Mountain Road. It was sweet. Perfect Pavement. Nice pretty scenery, solid grade. A little uphill... all in all a nice pumpable cruiser for the most part. We ended on the wrong side of West Rock (East Rock's Big Sister) in Bethany Ct. We travel on Downes Road (solid, maybe 40able hill with some bump drafting and a huge push South towards New Haven hoping to find a way home. Instead we end up in Litchfield which had some okay runs, nothing really though from what we saw. Then we were in Woodbridge near 15 North/South or something and contemplated traveling over the highway or using hiking trails to get to Baldwin Road over West Rock. Instead we went into New Haven and got all the way into the bad part of whalley Avenue.
Part 3 We backtracked out of Whalley avenue, Saw a car accident, got Hassled by a homeless dude that was singing he was Rasta for life. We got a shitload of dirty looks and eventually started to not care. As we headed for the southern Campus to get a ride home. As we were doing that we somehow scoped our Friend's Dad in the traffic and he stopped and gave us a ride halfway home where we were dumped off at CVS 4 miles skate from home on a bike path. Great..............................
Be weary of roads that take you far from home. I'll post our Destinations and whatnot later on google maps. It was seriously like 17 miles or something of traffic, turnpikes, and some decent Roads.

Your lucky you didn't get shot or killed on Whaley for your longboards haha But I have a car and if you want we could go hit up some spots. Whats your skill level and what kind of board do you ride? I would consider myself a newbie and just got down sliding yesterday. Maybe you could teach me a thing or two. Right now I have a S9 board but im in the market for a new board once my funds permit it. Oh yea, I live in Derby and used to work in Hamden alot.

Sounds fun - Although Litchfield is no where near where you described. Hamden, Woodbridge, Bethany, New Haven - but Litchfield is 30 plus miles from any of these towns. Maybe Litchfield Rd?
Gaylord Mountain Rd. is quite narly - I never skated it, but have driven it many times...

litchfield tpk im pretty sure... route 69. there was an awful accident up there on saturday night
how was still hill for you guys? im assuming its a 45er or so
gaylord mustve sucked. the steep shady part would be great if there were potholes that bend axles on f*ckin semis, let alone skateboards.
