Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
I know this is off topic but where do you LI skaters buy stuff for your boards. Does everyone shop online, or are there some local skate shops people can go to??
-
Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
Internet. Waiting for stuff to ship sucks, but the only shop I know that has longboards is Zumies and it has all Sector 9s

Great ive heard of these places, And just like u i mostly order online granted i haven't ordered to much. But i just want to check out a place where i can feel w/e i'm looking for and/or talk to someone about it rather then finding it online and checking reviews. I am not against reviews but i feel a lot better trying out different things like wheels or trucks per say, when i feel confident talking to someone, rather then reading reviews and being like ok i hope this works.
Also both places sell long board accessories like, trucks, bearings wheels, decks?

They sell everything like that, and they will order whatever you want out of a catalogue.
Rick has Original and Sector 9 in stock and will take a complete apart for you if you want parts. He's got some 10" Indy trucks too.
Bunger in Sayville has a lot of wheels, bearings and trucks, and I haven't been to the West Islip location in a while but they should have everything as well.

Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
BAUER, what time you planning the meet on Sunday? I'd like to try to go (I'm working on sliding now too) but I have class until 1, and would need to try to get a ride out after that, so I'd be out around 2:30 if at all... I'll at least ask now if I can get a ride though

Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
I don't think I'll be able to make it, going out over night, then i have class from 10-1, I'd need to find a ride and I'll probably be exhausted.
Is it really wet for you guys over there? Its been pouring for two days here
