Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
OK so on Friday a friend and I said screw work and took the day off. After reading all the posts about the almost race at East Rock in CT, we decided to go check it out. If you can make the trip you owe it to yourself.
The pavement is very good and and the people using the park all were cool with us being there. Quite a few even stopped and chatted. All were very nice. The views were nothing like what you get on long island and nor was the road. There is a full on 180 degree banked hairpin and multiple S turns. Smooth and steep enough to get some good speed going if you wanna bomb. It was about 2 hours travel time to get there and I can't wait to skate that hill again.
Ididn't want to post up a big trip till I scouted the place myself, but next time lets try to bring a crew or meetup with some locals. The spot is definately legit. Lets set something up.

Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
If you saw the road you would definately think that a 2 hour drive was worth it.
But I am definately down for some local spots as well. The slide thing at Ledgewood sounds good. It's a fun hill.

Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
If you have one, tell me when it is and I'll try to make it out.
Huntington is close enough that the only issue with me going out is just finding someone to drive me

Re: Official Long Island skate sesh thread.
Huntin'gton rider here...fairly noob...Learning speed cecks, slides, etc...was hoping to hook up with more experienced riders so the learning curve won't be so painful...Since September when I started, have sprained ankle and labrum (shoulder) And redid shoulder getting tossed doing toeside slide today ...Will not quit regardless...pain is worth it, just would like to lessen if possible. Any body down for riding huntingtonand points east let me know.

Hey baur... off topic. I'm planning on getting the eel from bc longboards for my wife... what do you think of this setup?. Pink 70mm Zigzags, bones reds and 50 degree randals with the hangars flipped.
