Whats upp everyoneee.. the long island skate on sunday was alot of fun!

i want to get more and more people, and have more and more fun.

lets set-up skate sessions, and more events and leave them here for everyone to see..

tryed to make the last one just to busy with work..... Trying to get a slide and bombin hills sesh going.. down to go on weekends sat or sunday this weekend is great if anyone is down. iam in the st.james area got a car to meet up.

I'm gonna see about getting out to Huntington later this month, maybe just take the train, I'll let you know when I talk to my mother and my skating friend.
Where do y'all skate? We rarely take anything up to even 20mph, most hills here don't pass 15mph at most, unless we go downtown by the Port, where its all hills

Oh wow, if you mean Port Jefferson, I live right around there - in East Setauket.

The other day I just skated around town, and you're right, not that many 'good' hills around here. Maybe two or three, but they're somewhat short. =/

There are some good ones in the Belle Terre gated neighborhood, but I can't get in there anymore, too likely to get arrested without an excuse... crazy rich people.
Port Jeff has some nice spots but are usually too dangerous to ride due to traffic or crappy pavement. I'm in Port Jefferson Station, so I'm near the tops of the crazy drops heading to the water, but its pretty flat here.
Its nice to skate down there but be careful of the crazy self-important rent-a-cops, they're a terror

If you know where Se-Port Deli is (on 25A), I live right near there on a slight hill that gets some pretty good speed, but only for a little bit. I was thinking about riding around PJ at night so I wouldn't have to deal with cars. Especially the hill in PJ leading down to the ferry. I've wanted to hit that for a while. >.>

I move back to Farmingdale on the 30th (where I go to college)...and I get done super early everyday. I need something to fill the time with, hello longboarding.

I know where the deli is and I've heard great things, but I've never been.
Main Street and East Broadway (may be wrong on name) are both pretty long and steep. I spent a few hours down there today, the longer and faster stuff is mostly meat grinder pavement, covered in cars, or really hard to stop from. I'm not very good with speed, I'm still working my way up into the 20's (which is hard here) but hopefully my recent purchase of Gravity Drifters and Loaded gloves will help... I'd learn so much faster with someone to learn from. I'm not that good and don't want to sound like I am, but I do wanna get better
