oh please with the new traffic thing going through times square will be easier, i'm good at people slalom (i'm a veteran in that discipline). Last year, 42nd street and Union square were the only places I had to actually slow down to a stop.

Would like have some of my crew there as well, but everyone's broke.
Me and my EW are itching for some big city asphalt/garage bombing.
Archy, can me and my crew (SA longboarders) crash stay at your pad?
We can pay a deposit to cover any incidentals or ramifications.

Re: Broadway Bomb 2009 -- Let the hype begin
Here's a pic of the contestants(all 17 of us) in the first Bomb - 2002. I think the hype has picked up a bit since then. 250+ last year?
Archy, I'll definitely see you at this one. I missed Central Park by about an hour, and ended up cruising around with some stragglers and hanging out at the boathouse with the nylba crew. Heard about the drama though.

Actually, the race was sponsored by RedBull, so the hotties in the mini cooper cooler cars kept us happy and wired (Very cool). Also cool was riding through the Korean Day Parade(True story). Could you imagine 250+ doing that? Maybe if we're lucky we'll get the chance.
This thread (below) was the sum Siverfish hype of the first Bomb. It was discussed much more on ncdsa which, at the time, was the go to longboard site. That has obviously since changed. The Fish has come a long way.

Yeah man, this race transcends fun. Everybody wins. Just finishing means you succesfully dodged cops, cars, fellow skaters, pedestrians, potholes, parade grand marshals (if we're lucky), tourists, bicyclists, viking helmets, etc. Making it through unscathed is victory for sure. This year should be interesting.
