South Jersey Turkey Sesh 11/28

So with everyone coming home for thanksgiving break, and not having to worry about doing work for a bit, it seems like the perfect time for a big sesh.

When: 12noon Saturday after thanksgiving (11/28/09)
Where: Cherry Hill/Marlton, NJ (still debating between two locations)
What: Both locations have some sweet slide hills with awesome pavement, (nothing serious for DH but both spots have 30mph runs)


*Disclaimer: The odds of a having a fully cooked turkey powersliding on an FSM is very unlikely*

It was a shot from the NJ slide jam in the summer so if he was there its probably him

sweet, sounds like its going to be an awesome sesh. i'll make sure to pm the location/directions to everyone in this thread a week or so before the date.

A bit of info about the location: Its three hills that all meet at the top (think like ski slope style with three paths to choose from the top). ones really steep, one is a long right hand turn, and the other is straight.

If you bomb them you'll hit about 30, with sliding they're long enough to get a few solid slides in. Wide roads and very little traffic (a few cars an hour). and great pavement for sliding. they're similer in length/grade to the hill that the NJ slide jam was at this year.

ATTN BEGINNERS: if your competent at sliding/controlling your speed etc you'll be fine.. If you don't know how to stop you theres one with a nice long runout . but seriously use your judgement, if your expirienced its not a difficult ride, but I've heard about a few skaters lost control on this hill and got seriously injured/paralyzed/died so be smart, wear your gear, and skate whithin your limits.

sweet, its looking like its going to be a nice day, 0% chance of rain, and sunny. Its just supposed to be a bit windy. if its nice tomorrow i might be heading over there for some skating so if i do i'll try to remember to take a few shots of the hill to post here.

that was a great ride i really enjoyed the first hill. but I wish my arm wasn't broken so i coulda made the turn on the back side of signal hill rode. (I was the one who ran into the car lol) but still one of my best sessions in a while.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I was really looking forward to it, but I decided to blow my shift linkage out instead and spend my day getting my car towed. Pretty awesome huh? =/
