Thanks for the info on the wetsuits guys. I'm just torn now because I'm losing weight (well, trying ) so I don't know if I should by one now or wait till the real cold stuff is coming. I don't want to end up with one getting too big on me.


As far as tomorrow, I'm going surfing in the early AM, and then I'm going to try and meet you guys at Slayerville. I should be there around 10 I'm thinkin. I gotta split by 12:30-1 though, got something planned with the wife in the afternoon.

seems i've gotta stay home and take care of the wife(had minor oral surgery) for most of the day tmw so no surf but perhaps i'll be able to sneak away for an hour to sayreville. pretty iffy.

anywho, how did sayreville go? sensei, if u went surfing, god bless ya, it was like a crazy river yesterday, there were like waves breakin as far as half a mile out, pretty crazy stuff, 2 surfers were lost on LBI and there were search and rescue hellies lookin all day for them, and some guy drowned, but todays lookin like a good surf day, so i mite end up goin out

Hey sorry I missed you guys Saturday, I got lost and somehow ended up on the Parkway way passed were I wanted to be. Kinda a good thing though, cause I hit major traffic going back and made it just in time to go to the wife's alumni lunch thing for her college.

Yeah, Saturday's surf was not the greatest, it was blown out and mainly just big closeouts with all the wind. I ended up just watching a sponge compitition in Belmar which was fun, but I was kicking myself in the as$ for not just going to Sayreville. But I gots an idea for this Saturday:


Lansdowne anyone? I want to go skate the downer a least one more time before it starts getting too cold. We could leave in the morning, get there by 12, skate till closing (when it gets dark) and drive back. Its only a 3 hour drive and it goes quick, I've done it before. I'll drive this time too, just gotta know how many of us are going so I can get the wife's PT loser.
I'm sure Dillon and some of the other guys down there will come out and session with us too if their not busy. So lets go!!

how much of a pain would a maplewood pickup be on your way down there? i'll be overnight at the folks house friday night to sat and would love to join you all, but don't have access to the car anymore. (dad sold it) we're near 78 and 280. going back, all i'd need is to be dropped off at any train that goes to penn station and i'm good. i dunno if boot is going to be up for it as she's going to be in nyc that night.

I am so in, my parents are going out of town all weekend and they are taking my car so I will be stranded. But I am willing to pitch in for gas and other amenitites as needed.

And since I am 18 now, you don't have to worry about transporting a minor over the state lines.


WAIT!!! We should make a whole day video out of it also!!!

Right on guys! I'll get the PT Loser wagon for the trip. Help with gas would be nice, since the price is ludicris lately. Shouldn't be too bad since the last time I made it all the way down on 1 tank.

@ Philo- Sure, will come pick you up, no problem. You just gotta give me some directions so I know what time we gotta leave for the trip. I want to make sure we make it to the park when it opens at noon.

@Tyler-Its really cool now that your 18, since now you don't have to get the stupid waiver they require signed and noterized. Unfortunately though, if Ant is still 17 and wants to come, he does. Last time I went I brought my friends son who was 17, but the guy Ron that was working was real cool and didn't even ask for it. Hopefully he's working this saturday too, but there is another guy that works there that's a real stickler. Let me know if he's coming so I can send him or you the waiver.


They also require full pads too guys: Knee, Elbow, and lid. I saw a few guys getting away with pants and black sock tops cut off and on their elbows if you really don't want to wear pads, but I know most of you wear them anyway. The park is free though, and more fun then a room full of midget strippers. Your gonna want a middle of the road duro wheel though, like 80-88a. The crete is smooth but it is 70's crete. I rocked 84a's there last time. The snakerun is tight, but the rest of the park is wiiiide open, especially the big ditch area. So bring a few different boards. Its alot more mellow tranny then Sayreville, but the lines are endless. Perfect for beginners. I'll try to post some pics of the park later. I actually have to get back to work now. 8)

you guys are planning for Saturday right? my sister is in town that day and i'm obliged to hang out. grrrr -- i've been wanting to check that out.
