RTA garage? You mean the NJT garage right? The new one we spotted.

I can't skate too late on Thursday night either, I got work at 5am and I gotta pack for the weekend. Just put my new slide wheels on the gravity last night though If its not raining, Sayreville might be an option too, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I got a few garages in mind. Defiently NOT Ikea though, that was a certified piece of suck.

Zogs, if you guys want to come, Tyler would have to drive. I can't get my wife's loser wagon since she'll be at work, and my jeep doesn't have a back seat. Maybe if you bribe him with something.

Boe- They're scattered all over. There's a new one that me and Tyler spotted off Rt. 17 North, up in the Ramsey area. It looks real wide and real promising. Then there's a few small one's scattered around 4 and 17, right in Tyler's area. There's also a 10 story monster right by my house in your favorite town-where all the cops know your name

Kinda off subject since I doubt we could get to them tomorrow, but I've been dying to check the area by East Rutherford, Meadowlands, etc. I always see ones along Rt. 3 over there. Plus further up Rt.3 is Hoboken, and I know there's a few up there, one that looks pretty hairy since the ramps swing out to the outside of the building. Plus, one of these days we gotta live up to our promise to Mike and go hit those garages in AC, since were on the subject. Winter's coming, its garage season!!

Alright guys, Saturday Novemember 12th, I'm going to drive the course that I'm planning for a race to check everything out. If you don't know what I'm talking about check here: http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...ic.php?t=17146

I plan on hitting the hills we find to test them out, along with the bike path that runs along the beach in Sandy Hook. I could use some company/help, as I will be checking mileage, hill grades, places to crash, taco stands, bars, petting zoos (for Boe) and so forth. Let me know if ya wanna go.

And has anyone found out or looked into costumes any further for the 29th?

Garage bombing tomorrow. Hope to see alot of you.

    Default Half Pipe

    uhhhhhhh, hey jersey...

here's a kinda crazy story for ya:
a production company in NYC shot a music video w/ skaters on a half-pipe, and they have to get rid of it by 6pm tonite. so they gave it to me. for free!!!

    here's the specs:
    height: 6 feet
    length: 18 feet
    flat area: 10 feet

they're also delivering a quarter pipe and mentioned coping and some other accessories. it apparently cost $7 grand to build, and they have no place to store it. I told him my backyard has plenty of room. so he said, it's yours!

ummmm, so maybe a session in Woodside at Nervous' house if anyone is into this stuff. I figure it'll help me learn how to drop in and skate the bowl at Sayreville.

I'm sticking with my Hunter S Thompson/ fear n loathing themed costume -- trying to find one of those half-bald wigs, a tape recorder, a bottle of tequila, and a hawaiian shirt. oh, and goggles.

sensei, good call on that long cigarrette filter; i'll have to watch the movie again tonite and get the costume perfected.

i'm actually terrified of that half pipe. my friend crushed his lung and broke some ribs on the one in lower manhattan. i doubt this'll be my 'thing.' but hey, i always say: 'build it and they will come.' just not sure who THEY is yet.

Ned, I'll give ya some advice, but keep in mind I haven't skated a mini since I was 16 and could still 'bounce' off things

Start in the middle and pump. Take it slow at first. Wear wrist guards (very important for mini's) and your other pads. If you got good knee pads, go up to the topdeck, drop to your knees, and slide down the wall. No I'm not being a dick, this will help you get over the fear of the height, and teach you how to kneeslide out of a bail.

The wife actually loves mini's, she took lessons on one in drop-in skatepark. I'm sensing a Brooklyn banks/Ned's mini session is in order soon. 8)

tell dave to conquer it, he seems to like dangerous things that you can easily hurt urself doing

otherwise, maybe after the bomb we could go slide or maybe hit the pipe

COOL NED!!! That's awesome! That's just about the same size as Scooter's ramp - great to learn on. Does it have roll-out decks?

oh and thanks for mappin' out the petting zoos, Rob

just in, they apparently mis-measured the half pipe -- it's 24 feet long! our yard where we were gonna put it is 23 feet long. it's a monster. It has a platform that's 3 feet wide to drop in from.

    this could get interesting...
