Yea, friday was pretty sick.
Bob and I spearing people with our boards on the train. (its suprisingly hard to turn around in a crowd full of people with two skateboards strapped to your back)
Skating in Prospect Park in 10 degree weather in the dark where no one can here you scream.
Watching Ned learn how to pump and make it through the course clean.
Going to a bar and meeting Brian of Earthwing. Then we went back to his place and checked out all of his boards and hung out till like 1 in the morning or so.
Driving to Queens and getting Taco Bell at 2am and asking for **** sauce.
Hanging out at Neds place watching "The Crow" and "187" while munching on Taco Bell and washing it all down with Jager.
Bob and I staying up till 4 doing absolutly nothing but insulting people.
Waking up at 630 to get on the trains and watching Bob fall over on the skate to the station.
Having a partially drunken Bob ask people for directions.
Having a partially drunken Bob try and buy you orange juice only to drop it and make a big scene.
It was a good, good start off to the weekend. It would have been better if it was warmer and we had more people, but hey, Im not bitching.

yeah,GREAT TIMES guys, thanks for braving the frostbite -- that slalom course will be a blast this spring when the weather warms up. plus, hitting the brooklyn banks from midnight till the sun comes up.
haha, "foggy" Bob skating to the subway station at dawn cracked me up. We'd skated two blocks and Bob's like, "So Ned, where did you park your car anyway?" I'm like "Bob, we're SKATING to the subway, not driving -- it's only 3 blocks from my house." Then Bob wipes out for no apparent reason and sits in the middle of the road staring at his Gravity like it was a girlfriend that cheated on him.
speaking of bails, i just skated from Queens to my studio in Brooklyn and crashed TWICE on the way here. i figured out that wearing a heavy backpack messes me up. everytime i've ever bit it, I've been wearing one. that's my excuse for now at least.
how was pre- st patrick's day sensei???

Ned, you are the man for letting us crash at your place. Bob and I think that we didn't thank you enough, so we'll have to get you a bottle of makers mark.

haha, whatever, i should be thanking YOU GUYS for teaching me everything... so no need to thank me (i owed bob anyway for crashing on his couch and all the rides from the train).
one of my housemates said we were too loud, but i call bullsh*t on that cos my dipsh*t housemate that chugged all your Yager was the loud one, and the guy in the room nearest the living room said he didn't hear anything.
so yeah, let's do it again SOOON! ramp next time, plus Banks, plus central park, plus garage. it'll be a marathon.

How was St. Patricks day? Lets see: Standing outside a bar for two friggin hours in a line just to get inside and drink? Not my idea of a fun time. Thank god one of Lisa's friends was smart enough to bring a bottle of something so I didn't end up getting hungover before I even got in the bar. I got so hammered I left my favorite hat in the friggin bar, and could barely walk to the resturant. My ears got cold so as we were walking by one of those guys selling crap on the street, I swiped the ugliest beanie any man has ever seen. Lisa was pretty drunk too so I didn't get yelled at for it. I ended up giving the retched thing to her brother as a thank you for letting me stash my boards in his dorm room. All in all it was a good time I guess.
Yeah, lets do it again real soon, its starting to get warmer out already this week. And next time should be even better, since the mistakes we made last time can be avoided. For instance: I'll be riding my slalom board and putting my vallely on my backpack, considering its 10 times lighter and it's not 40 freakin inches long. My backpack will be a hell of alot lighter, since I know I don't need full pads, (didn't know the size of the hill, now I do) and alot of other $hit I had in there that I didn't need. And I have a pretty good idea of what subways to take now, well, going to the park anyway. Coming back was a little "foggy"
And no Jager next time, just beer, ok? I've already made sure I now have Friday's off from the school for the spring/summer.
Ned, if you happen to be in that park anytime soon, do me a favor and check to see if I left my stopwatch by where we had the backpacks? I'm having trouble finding it

FYI --- Brian just posted this on Freshpaved in case anyone from Jersey is interested:
So this friday it's supposed to be amazing, like 65 degrees. Lets get a group together to skate for real, set up cones, try to beat jim in a wheelie-bomb contest (not possible), and have fun actually skateboarding on a perfect spring fever night. I promise that we won't sit around and discuss your choice of parts on your kit, and wonder if it is indeed good enough to participate in skateboarding. Just get your crew together to skate, and lets not talk about the philosophy behind it.
Friday 8-ish pm in prospect park on the hills.

Not AIDS you jerk, I have/had what they were calling walking nemonia, which is like a severe case of the flu. It went around the dojo and it finally got to me. It hit me really hard Monday afternoon, and I was in bed all day yesterday. They put me on antibiodics and steriods to try to knock it out, since I could barely walk without getting dizzy.
I'm at work today, only cause I can't afford another day off. I'm feeling a little better, but I can't tell if I'm still dizzy from being sick, or because of all the drugs they got me on. You could literally knock me over with a feather right now.
So in other words, I'm out for Friday Ned. Just an FYI to you guys too, its supposed to pour rain all day and night Friday. Which is actually a good thing, since the streets need the salt washed off. But it looks like spring is actually starting to come around.
So if they have another Rip next Friday, I'm defiently in.

i was crazy dizzy all day monday and i thought it was because i stayed up playing pool till 3am with some crazy hot lesbian girl that i met sunday night at a dive bar while trying to avoid watching the oscars, but maybe i had a mild case of walking pneumonia instead.

we got rained out!!! bummmer!!! but at least we now know what its like, i posted a few pictures of the hill in the review ty guy made in the slalom section... its not that bad... smoother than my hairy ass, and i heard top speeds could be possibly close to 30? for those seasoned rippers... good looking hill, secluded from everything so no cars!
on a side note...with all this warm weather all the snow will be gone soon and ill crawl out of my cave and **** out all that ******* white castle we ate in ohio and ill shift into skate mode so ill be getting on here more often than i do...
boe... lucky you and your powder days! also sledding is mucho fun, those things go really ****** fast! i got to ride my friends old ass yamaho last winter up in new york... the hand warmers in the 80's were really serious... they ****** burned my hands through a pair of biking gloves...

so... i'm thinking the first warm/dry Saturday this spring we should get EVERYONE together for an early morning park session at Sayreville. i might try to take a day off soon and go out there and "practice" while there's nobody around.
