I went to school on LI from 92-96 and basically minored in surfing and skating. You will not find ditches on Long Island, at least not anything skateable. Most places on LI if not all use underground drainage, actually most of the North East of the country does. Big open ditches like Indian School are found in areas that are very dry and experience flash flooding periodically (i.e.-the desert, south west and cali)
