I finally got a board out here, so I'll be making it this weekend. I'll only be there for an hour or so. I have to take the LSAT on Saturday, and I need to get enough sleep. See you there! Oh yeah, Ned do you take the G? How do you get there?

Cool Doxastic, glad you'll be able to make it out to the rip; people usually show up between 7:30-8pm...
To get there, take the F subway line to Prospect Park/15th St in Brooklyn -- it drops you off right at the Park entrance at 15th Street/Prospect Park West. Skate into the park entrance and turn right at the fork, then skate down the hill until you see people. If you're coming from somewhere near the G line, you can take the G and transfer to the F at the Smith/ 9th St station .
If you browse through the history of this thread from the beginning, there are numerous maps of the park and cell phone numbers to call if you get lost.
I'm confused; are you starting in brooklyn??? if so, you can avoid going into Manhattan by taking the G train to the F train and transferring at Smith St.
In less than twenty four hours, my Silverfish'ing skateboard brethren, we shall commence on Prospect Park and show it no limits. Ya'll should come out to the banks and get warmed up nicely before the RIP. Can't wait to hang out with everybody.

No dude, I'm starting at the Northern Blvd station on the R,V,G lines. But, I just noticed the G does connect to the F after it gets into Brooklyn. I was reading the map wrong. I'll just take the G to the F and get off at 15th. Sorry for the confusion.
...anyone want to skate the BANKS at 6pm? sofa king and i will be there.
i am planning to come out earlier, though i was thinking to setup some cones on the really melow part of the hill (perhaps even at the center drive or wellhouse drive if the west drive is too crowded) and start practicing... i got my skaterbuilt and i'm playing with risers, wedges and such...

btw, pardon my ignorance, what are the BANKS?

Vadim, the Brooklyn Banks are in Manhattan underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. It's a series of brick banked hills that you can skate.
Sofa King and I will probably head over by 7/7:30... the only problem with setting up early is that all traffic doesn't usually stop till a little later. give me a call on my cell phone when you get cones set up and we'll meet you there before the rip -- 917*587*6675. If it's cool, I'd love to check out your Skaterbuilt Hybrid -- such a pretty deck!
