I'm actually looking forward to skating in Jeans and a hoody...it's been since I was home to Canada last winter that I even skated with jeans on.

Its a flat fee for cabs from JFK to Manhattan (below 59th street). Last time I took one it was $55 including the bridge toll and tip.

This Friday the 13th of October Earthwing Skateboards will do something new…

Instead of the Friday Night RIP in Prospect Park we will hold the first ever Pre-Halloween Costumed Longboard Cruise!

Everyone dress up as whatever you want, the wackier the better!
We will meet between 8 and 9pm in Columbus Circle (59th St at the corner of the park where Broadway, Central Park West, and Central Park South all meet)
We will then proceed to skate down Broadway in a mini-preview of the Broadway Bomb until we get to the East Village. We will hit up some local hotspots, skate through the Lower East Side including Astor Place and Tompkins Square Park, and end up at NYCs unofficial official skater bar Max Fish at 178 Ludlow just off Houston St. around 11PM or so and then drink!

Come dressed up as whatever you want, but come dressed up! If you want to go with what others are doing there will be a few zombie pirates chasing a Scooby Doo, at least one bunny rabbit, and we are trying to get as many people in Jason hockey masks as possible so if you want to go low budget/effort just pick up one of those anywhere.

A few people asked why we are doing this so early. Well, a lot of folks will have plans Halloween weekend and a few folks will be in from out of town for the Broadway Bomb anyway so we thought this would be a good day to do it… besides, by the time we get downtown we will be surrounded by so many freaks and drunks it’ll be just like Halloween Eve!

Scoody Snack'n through NYC on SK8boards with people dressed up in crazy outfits. I can't wait for one of us to look at Pyrate and think he really is a zombie pirate. This is gonna to be nuts! I'll see what I can do.
