just letting you know, the hill, bombing and drafting has a top speed of about 31mph +/- 4mph

loose carving/standing up cruising is about 25mph

Yeah. Don't listen to the Punk Skunk. He's just josh'n ya. I don't think I've ever gotten to 25 on that hill. I don't believe them about that. I remember us all drafting with our hardcore downhill gear, then having a dog run faster than us. That was really funny. And there aren't any turns. There's a dog-leg left, but it's nothing to worry about.

it's actually a lot of fun if you tweak the run a little. If you go around that triangle that everyone puts their stuff on, you have a swooping right into a left handed hairpin, then you bomb to the bottom and have a small right turn. It's some fun.

And yes, I was kidding, It barely qualifies as a hill. Just have slide gloves and kneepads and you'll be set.

I haven't been able to find anywhere here good in the city; mail order is the best bet, but it's expensive with shipping. for a dropped deck, you'll need individual plies and a press, with a vacuum to get it to work right i think. it's probably easier (and cheaper) to have someone make you a dropped deck. just a thought...

oh, connor -- lemme know if you ever decide to sell the evo to use money towards a lighter, more competitive dropped deck. i love your board.

Thanks man. I actually have a press built, and I am pretty fluent at making them (that means I will be making more!!! (----dox dox dox...do you want one!!!??)

I am also aware of the whole thin lil plies and crap, and I may go for the roarorockit veneer kit, but also, there is this place in Brooklyn (close to the Lowes Home Improvement right by my house) called "Dykes Lumber" and they may have some stuff....

About the Evo, there is quite a chance that I will....just not yet. But most probably eventually.

Do you think you could use 1/4" ply x 3. Theres a place out in Deer Park on the Island called Roberts Plywood. All they have is plywood and the guys are pretty cool ( they skate ) I might be picking some 3/4 for more boards. I think they have veneer but I believe its costly. They have a web site, do a search.
