So when is the NYC crew gonna venture out to Jersey for some real hills?!
lets go i have a van! lets all pick a day.
harrison and i found some amazing slide hills in great neck LI yesterday. manhasset ave and grinsted, and another one off middle neck road. it was the fastest i have ever ridden... ever. it was giant slides all down the hill without stopping, i loved it.
Jess - Why don't you guys meet up with the Long Island crew on Sunday evenings. I think were meeting in Syosset and skating Oyster Bay. I want to try the Glenn Cove area one weekend.

i don't know what's going in NYC these days, but the city is starting to build random skate parks in places throughout the city. first, they added a few rails to the brooklyn banks. now there's a new spot in the Lower East Side under the Manhattan Bridge that just appeared a few weeks ago... apparently nobody really knew it was being built, and there was never any press about it. it kinda sucks, because it's SUCH an amazing space and this street setup is pretty limited... still i guess it's cool that the city wants to give skaters a place out of the way hidden downtown where nobody will care that they're there.

i would love to! the only problem is sunday nights i have band rehearsal. maybe i can duck out of one in the next couple weeks and skate with you guys.
I was so sick. I swear, I think it's west nile. Remember, I was all "man they are really biting tonight" ...hmmmmm NYC, and west nile. So next week we can have a contest to see who can catch a deadlier disease. I am still all messed up. Ned was too. Anyone else sick from NYC?

Whooo animal chin..... I had a 102 fever a couple days ago... lol luckily I was cleared from Malaria, Dengue Fever, and Typhoid fever... but hey... I almost had them! I have luckily recovered and I have been skating all over the city..... I hope to see you soon man.... Got lots to talk about... See you!
i'll be rippin' for sure tomorrow; my labor day vacation starts at 2pm!!!
yeah i think i had a combination of West Nile, Pneumonia, Lyme Disease, Malaria and Whooping Cough. i feel pretty good now, but my cough won't go away.
i'm new to this thread, as well as to longboarding in general , though i've been snowboarding for a long time. i have been doing laps around the park on my vanguard for the last several weeks, and i am coming today right after work as well. not that it matters much ... but if anyone is coming as well, we can hook up... i cannot make it tomorrow though, have other arrangements... i am putting together two more boards, and should have them done shortly, so i will hopefully be around riding those as well

Subject: [Freshpaved] Friday Night RIP 9/1 is ON!!!
The weekly Friday Night Rip will go down as usual this week at 8pm in Prospect Park.
Directions: Take the F train to 15th. enter the park at the corner and veer right and follow the road. we'll be on the main road about 2-3 minutes into the park.
Brian of Earthwing Skateboards will have some samples of the brand new Earthwing Supercharger 44" and many of us will also have our Earthwing slide decks so everyone who shows up will be able to take some runs on an Earthwing sprint or slide setup.
It might rain, but who cares.... that makes sliding just that much easier. Its always a good time. We'll skate it up and then have a few at the local bar as usual (Royale, on 5th ave. and 12-13th St.)
