anyone interested in having the RIP Saturday night instead and sliding the Cloisters to take lots of pics/video to post online to give everyone an idea of the hill for the event?
yup, thats the plan then. saturday night at the cloisters.
everyone stay in touch.
wells my # is 917-703-4200 if you want to check when/where were gonna meet up.
yea i'll skate satruday at the cloisters thats a grand idea. no friday night rip so we'll have a saturday night romp last week i skated there after hitting the hill on 116th. it was pretty fun.
My friend and I recently started longboarding and we're looking for some cool folks to roll with. My friend Jen lives in Prospect Park, BK and I live in the Rockaways.
Being that you all have a love for the BK and NYC in general, we'd love to meet up with you, check out some real action and hopefully learn a thing or two from the experts.
Chris

chris, definitely come out soon to a Friday night Rip (every week in Prospect Park from 8-11pm weather permitting). also, mark your calender for the weekend of June 2 for the annual Central Park Race (see http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...d.php?t=42270). you might also want to check in with the Long Island crew; they meet pretty much every week to cruise garages and hills.

i live in bay ridge and have only played ball in prospect park really. are there many good hills? in the ridge the fastest u can go is really in the mid 20's which isnt to fast. is it better there? probably going to check it out one day
It's not much better. but no traffic. except cops, park workers, bikers, and the random roller blader being pulled by a moto-scooter. and you get to spend the evening with a bunch of lb's.

Yo I live right by the park it's nice. 30 mph drafting, but nothing more. It's awesome to skate though with a bunch of other lbers.
