well just guessing our speeds isn't all that accurate either so maybe we are going faster than we think and slowly picking up speed is maybe tricking us a bit?

When I had the energy to do a decent tuck (it was on one run I did) you caught up to me at the bottom, and we started at like the same time. You weren't going 3-5 mph faster unless you want to talk about the times I was in an awful tuck, then you probably were.
