We have to watch the weather. I'm going to go down now to sqeegee to bowl. If it gets to moist ( masonite ) it won't be skateable. Keep checking the thread.

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Its a wash out. I guess its not in the cards for this week. Joes going to take apart the mini bowl in the next month or two. We had just finished putting down some new masonite and fixed some cracks within the last 2 weeks. Coated it with a 2 part epoxy. It seems it just can't hold up in this type of climate. It was 2 1/2 pipes joined together an then the corners connected. A bowl like that has to be done in Skatelite and that would cost alot of money.
We have to get a session over there before we take it apart.

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
a lot of my friends have had pipes in the past with just masonite on the top, and it has worked, just as long as you keep it covered. Your boy should just get a big tarp and cover it after every session, and you'll be able to keep it for a while. Besides, tarps are usually pretty cheap.

True that but being that its a bowl it tends to fill up like a pool. Its a real getto set up. Thats what I like about it. It was built with scraps and left over lumber from construction jobs. We got 2 good seasons out of it. He has a kid on the way and his old lady is breaking his balls , so I think hes going to get rid of it after this season. I'm going to miss it. I learned alot in that thing. I just got to pump around it a few times and I'm getting higher up the tranny.

Tomorrow 5-7 about going to hit the office park by Syosset Bowl. Decent, long slope down and side lots have inclines to screw around in as well.
