Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Phil - I've been body boarding heavily lately. Going out with Joe with the swells we had 2 weeks ago. I think more are on the way this weekend. Its been a sick season. Its less on the knees.

Phil
Bethpage is in the works. They say that they have a basic design " bigger than they had original planed ". I have to make a call over there now that you mentioned it. Glen Cove is just in the community input stage.
I'll keep you posted. Hope everythings cool.

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Hey,
Are there any longboarders in the Queens/Long Island area? I just got a Loaded Dervish and had one session so far up in Fort Tylon. Totally stoked and want to know more hills around me. Hit me up if you get the same stoke as I do. Surfing is a big passion too.

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
The only transition I've been hittin' lately has been the Meadowbrook bank. Otherwise, I've been skating around the neighborhood alot lately. Since Gas a dropped some I would like to start headin' up to Stamford again. Although, it's probably closed for the season, right? Would like to check out Slayerville, though.
Oldy, looks like it might be awhile before they break ground in Bethpage, huh?

They haven't really said, but I heard that the attendant there said they're keeping it open, "weather permitting," except maybe for January.

yea il give you the names of them but i dont know what directions you guys are coming from so i cant help wit directions.
the first and favorite is oakwood its fairly large i hit like 25 30 mph on it
the next id ny ave which is fairly long but has big cracks every like 20 or 30 feet in the shoulder i dont know about the lanes ive never skated those to many cars.
the next is park ave wich is long and moderatly steep in the beigining but get shalower
the last is main street which is long and shallow as well. and theres a ton of smller funn hills of of those especialy of new york ave you just gota keep your eyes pelled.
o and the best time to skate here is late at night when theres no cars
and hit me up of you guys ever come here

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Merry Christmas Oldy and Crew. Just got back from skating around the neighborhood. Was going to go surfing, but I'm getting over being sick from being in the water alittle too long the other day. Um, as far as Sat there's a slim possibllity I might be avaible. What's going on with Bethpage, OLDY? Any word about the Skatepark there suppossed to build in Huntington/Northport area?
So, did any of you guys get any cool skate stuff for Xmas? So far I got some Hardcore Bones bushings (my old ones were destroyed), 5 pairs of Bones socks (totally rad looking) and a Bones t-shirt.
