what happened to the sesh this sunday phil?? i really want to make it to one of these sessions before i go back to school and since i don't have a job anymore my schedule is pretty much WIDE open. i still have to find a way to get to the session but i should be able to get around that. those hills in OB sounded prety nice, but i'm down for anything. hopefully i see some of you guys this sunday!!
So this Sunday sounds good for everyone so far? Want to aim for six again? I'm up for Oyster Bay (Ryan, these hills are sick) but I don't remember where those hills were. LIsk8r and Skaterdude, you should definately try to make it. Just keep checking this thread, plans usually become concrete as Sunday approaches.

it goes right next to the cross island and is in queens i think?
oysterbay has like private areas in which we skate and with a huge turnout i don't think we well be able to have as much fun as usual. The bike path is 2.5 miles long and pretty wide. It is also open to the public and goes right along the water

Oops! I meant this Sunday, the 13th. I think we should all meet up at the mega marshalls on Jericho tnpke again at 6pm, sound good to everyone? As for the bike path along the CI, I just got back from skating it! I love cruising down the path and I go to the concrete hockey rink and pratice my wheelies, crossstepping, manuals, and right now the "old school" kick flip "I almost got it, Dave" . Then I skate to the end of the path and I slide around on the hill that's over there (the end of Utopia tkpe). It's definately a fun ride and I've been skating it for along time now. Suprisingly, I've never bumped into fellow LB's on the path. Well, how about we hit up OB this Sunday, and maybe next time will make plans for the bike path, sound good, peoples?
So, I guess it'll be as follows, Sunday the 13th at 6pm, Marshalls Jericho Tnpke, Syosset. Sunday's waeather is suppossed to be awesome, so let's take advantage of it, before we bake again.
I'm definately down for skating along the Cross Island, but I agree with Phil, let's hit Oyster Bay this weekend, and hit CI next weekend. Lb1, I wouldn't worry about getting kicked out, there are so many hills out there. Besides, who among us hasn't been kicked out of a thousand places so far ! You would love the last hill we skated, and Oldnstoked's got some crazy kamikaze $#@ that you might like too.

The cross island bike path is very nice, Also there is a very long path along a section of the belt parkway. Lots of fresh pavement , on the water, it passes right under the verrazano bridge and if you can make it all the way, there are side streets after the bridge that will take you into Owls Head skate park, wich is all concrete and looks awesome! I've seen it from the belt but I have't been there yet. Also I believe it is a public park and free, but does have a schedule for open sessions for bike or skate and also time for clinics. I think we would have to really plan this one out because of the time invloved.
I just want to give everyone the address that were meeting at, Marshalls 565 Jericho Tnpke, Syosset. If you need directions, than go to mapquest (it's very easy to find).
Dave, I checked out the run oldnstoked took us to (sunny hill dr) and I can't wait to skate it with you all on Sunday! I also found a totally mentally ill run off of mill river rd called centre view dr, and like I said, IT'S INSANE!!! Were definately going to peep this run as well.
i want to do some sick runs but none like the one by the school. We need to find stuff with little cars and a little more run out. The first run we did was sick.
hey lb1, I agree. I think we should start where we did last time, then go to the hill that Phil and I finished out on....it was about half as steep as the school hill and much longer.

OK - I'm back from Montauk. Sounds like were on for Sunday. The runs that I know of are mostly carving hills - need to carve to keep your speed down. Loose trucks save lives. I also know of a run in Cold Spring Harbor that is woody material.
Skated some garages today, learned to carve my evo, didn't get booted anywhere, good stuff! Hey Oldnstoked, what do you mean woody material?? Longbourder, welcome to the thread, I'm not skating tonight though. Can you make it out tomorrow night?
