yeah, i can give you a ride back to the station after the Rip too. as for central park race, no problem... i'll probably have lots of people from out of town stay at the house that weekend, and we'll all go into the city together for the race. we've got a halfpipe in the backyard, so i'm thinking about hosting a barbeque either before or after the race.

Yah Logbord 1 if you want you can bring more than one board. I usually bring 2 boards. a sliding and my evo. If you wanted you could bring as much as you want..... I am there a lot too so I will see you. Maybe see you there and up in your area.... I have a bad feeling that If I do go up to Li I will hve to go up either with a parent or maybe if you go Ned, I could hop on the train with you? I dno W.e.

I'll try to drag Earthwing Brian up there too; he needs to get out of the city and hit some real hills too. We'll try to get a whole crew and skate. I'm out of town the next two weekends, but maybe mid-May/early June we'll set up something big.

Hey oldnstoked, have you had any problems with security guards or police cracking down on your runs? I assume you usually skate the garages on weekends/nights. We should plan around that.

Yo Longboard1, I'm a parent too so I totally understand where there coming from. If we get together at the garages tell them to give you a lift , its cool. Ned - I have been going on 9:30 Sat. night or 6:30 Sun. night and security hasn't been a problem nor car traffic. I'm going to try to go later Sat. night. I also know of some nice hills aroun Oyster Bay, Bayville area and Longboard1 has areas around him if you want to do some weekend afternoon sessions. I would like to get into the city but my son has baseball games at 5:30 on Fri.

sounds like a good long island jam session is in the works. good stuff. i'm down in atlanta right now, just spent the day saturday at a ripping-good ditch down here. keep your eyes out for concrete drainage ditches on long island; they're sick fun. i'll post some photos tomorrow in the events section. unfortunately, i'm out of town again next weekend (another photo shoot), so i'll probably miss your first event. but i'll be there later on. and younger guys, definitely don't feel uptight about your parents wanting to check out where you're skating and with whom; that's completely cool and reasonable on their part. feel free to bring them along to any of the Rips or sessions, they usually end up having a great time gossipping about you with other parents that show up.

ahhhh, i can't meet up this weekend cause i'll be hanging out with my girlfriend for the first time in a month. but i'm going into the city to pick her up this friday so i figured i would go in early and skate central park. i plan to be at the start of the central park race (right near the tavern on the green) at 12:30ish(i can go earlier or meet up wherever). i realize its a prety inconvenient time and all but i figured what the heck, somebody might be able to meet up. so if your interested shoot me a pm or post it here.

Like Ned I will be unavailable this weekend and next. After 5/14 I should be available. Maybe mid week some of the local dudes could meet up just to get started. I know originalrider77 is in my town Massapequa and itj999 is in the next town. I would like to try to make the Friday night RIP 5/19 since my son doesn't have a baseball game that night.

oldnstoked, if it's not a hassle i might try to meet up with y'all mid-week in massapequa if you get something planned, especially since i won't be able to skate the rip this week. i just looked at the LIRR map, and it seems really simple to jump on the train from my house in woodside and be there in about 15 stops. is the train station anywhere near you guys?

hey jam, did you make it to prospect park friday -- how was it? i saw the video on the earthwing site of that jim guy bombing the hill on one-wheeled manual - insane.
