Nah Ned I am really pissed that I couldn't. I had guests in town and I had to stay home. I saw the video and it was pretty sick. I wonder how Mike D did with his Sergio Sliders. I really wanted to try those out too. I think I am coming this Friday though. Thanks for asking.

hey, everyone should plan to come to Prospect Park for this week's Rip (hopefully the rain will finally be gone -- 30% chance right now in the forecast). We can either meet at the Woodside LIRR train and ride over on the subway (unfortuntely my car died last weekend); or if you drive in by car we could meet up at the park - directions about where to meet are in the event thread under New York City - Earthwing Rip Updates.
Also, let me know if anyone wants to try to setup something on Long Island during the weekend; maybe some garages or a mellow carve run.
-
hey ned! maybe you could shoot into my town for a day we could have a sick time bro!! jam might come sunday and if u come im sure his parents will let him!
-
Oh NEd???! I will talk with you Friday...
Longbord1 you comin? Try to get your parents to come so they feel more comfortable. The LIRR station is semi near the park-- I could even meet you there--I know it sounds silly a 14 year old picking up a 17 year old lol- but I know my neighborhood quite well-- The station is within skating distance (15 minute ride) to Prospect park and I will be skating around from like 4:30 into the evening so just shoot me a PM or call my phone number.
-
sunday there will be a session in port washington. Anyone who wants to come please let me know and well meet up. if your in the city or anything like that just take the LIRR to its last stop which is port washington. go from penn station

I'm in. Haven't skated in a week and I'm jonesin.
-
sweet sounds good!! lets exchange numbers. also do you know exactly how to get to port washington?
bring a board that can cruise carve or bomb. also i finish work at 11 so 12 seems like the best time for everything. if you take the train from the city at 11 you will get into port at 12

sunday sounds good -- I just checked the LIRR map and it's an easy ride from Woodside; AND the weather forecast seems to be getting better and better!
so, sounds like some of the jersey skaters might possibly head in for the RIP friday if weather holds and schedules work out; so might be a good time for you guys to skate with those douche-bag pirates! they're mostly into speed and cones.
alritey, have fun!
-
hey friday seems like its gonna be rained out. ill be at the next rip for sure. im gonna be busy tommorow
anyway if u feel like coming in with jam gimme a pm and we will exchange numbers

nah, i totally disagree; there is a 30% chance of showers -- that leaves a 70% chance of SUN!!! the weather is so impossible to predict, so it's on unless it rains. they cancelled a skate competition last saturday due to rain forecast, and it ended up being the nicest day yet this year in NYC.
feel free to call me friday afternoon for weather updates.
i'll check in later this week with updates on ability to skate this weekend... i think i'm set though.
