Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Just thought I would blow the dust off this thread.....damn winter Anyhow, I'm thinking of heading out the six story garages in Mineola today around two. Maybe hit some of the other garages over there while I'm at it. If anyone is interested post up and let me know or just meet me there.....I'll be the guy with the big grin on his face!

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
So I checked out a couple new garages out in Mineola. One is a brand new, three story with no flats, just continual ramps. The ramps get faster each level down and they're really wide, nearly twice the width of the sixer, with pretty small seems. But the gem was the last one I found, right next door to the new one. It's pretty deceptive from the outside, looks like a boring three story but it actually had nine, count them, nine ramps! The levels are halved so the ramps are shorter, but no seams!! The only two issues are the ceiling is low, so it can feel a little tight, but you can stand up as you ride. The second challenge to this one is it's completely fenced in, with a fenced garage door, they actually closed it while I was in there! Not to worry though, there is an exit door that doesn't seem to latch, so, now I know this is going to sound bad (cover your ears LB1), but with a screw driver, I think you can open it from the out side, b/c there isn't a handle on the outside. Absolutely worth it! I'm probably heading back next weekend, so clear your schedules (Phil, sounds like you're workin on that one!) Oh, it also has a heated elevator!

Re: New York, Long Island Garages
Here's a google-map link to the garage. I'm not 100% sure of the address, but the map gives the general vicinity. You'll be able to see one of the garages from Old Country Road, the other two are right next to it and the Winthrop Hospital garage is directly across the train tracks from the middle garage. I don't think I'm explaining this well, hopefully you get the idea. Good luck and enjoy!!
