New York, Long Island Garages

i might be up for a Sunday session too.

we're thinking about skating central park saturday afternoon if anyone's interested. there's a snowboarding event in the park that day (see New York City in the events section), and we figured it would be fun to skate around after checking it out. call my cell phone if interested (9175876657).

also, i owe you guys some pics from the Holiday Rippy Rip -- I have them, I just have to resize them for web and upload them (hopefully tonight if I have time). sorry for the delay.

Here are some photos from the holiday rip garage session last december.
Lots of the photos in the garage were too dark and didn't come out well, so here are some that I salvaged. Next time I'll either bring a flash or my infrared camera to the garage so we get some better action shots.

So who's down for garages this week? It's gonna be a balmy 34 degrees, perfect for skating! Like I said, I'm free either Saturday or Sunday so I'll go with whichever day the majority of us can skate. We can meet at 1PM. So who can skate when?

I'm definatley gonna try to make it. I totally forgot that I have to my brothers pregraduation family thing from the FDNY acedemy. Guys, if your meeting tommorrow, just post up where you'll be and I try to get out of there early so I can ride with you all. Ned, awesome flicks.

i'm 50/50 for Sunday; I tweaked my back this week and trying to get back on a board. but yeah, i might make it out... keep me updated if you guys set up a session.

Sunday is better for me too. So what time should we meet up? How about 1:30 at the sixer in Mineola. We can skate that for a while then head over to the new garages. Let me know what you think.

what to you think the "bust" factor is for the new screwdriver garage???
that just sounds too perfect to be true -- a locked garage with no cars/security and a warm elevator.

Ned, it's a possibility. I've only been there once, and that time I got in through an open garage door. The biggest bust factor is whether or not I can get the side door open (it wasn't latching last time so I'm counting on that this week too). With respect to cars, I went on a Saturday and there were three cars, so I suspect Sunday will be the same. The closest thing to security I encountered was a very nice cleaning lady who smiled a lot, watched me skate a bit, but didn't speak English. I will understand if you take a pass on this one.

Not going to be able to make it today. I definiteley want to make next session. Hopefully presidents day weekend will be just as nice as this one. Dave I did get your message about two weeks ago...friggin nextel did'nt give me messages until the weekend was already over!!! Mike that picture of you and me is awesome, I am going to blow it up and hang it over my work bench. Have a great session today guy's. I am free saturday or monday of next week (president's weekend). I have a christening on sunday. Let's start talking about it.
