Hey Guys. Checked out Lansdowne yesterday, skated it for about 2.5hours. It's f....king rad!!! So much fun. Met a lot of cool guys down there too. Had a session with about ten guys, mostly older dudes who ripped the snakerun. This guy, Eric, brought out a radio and was blasting some late 70s, early 80s skate music....man that session could have been going on in 87 and nothing would have been different. Another super cool dude, Aaron, is from the area and said he'll take us to some of the other parks down there when we make a roadtrip (I have contact info for Aaron and Eric). I say 'when' b/c we have to go. Mike, you think Owl's Head bowl is cool, you'll LOVE Lansdowne. The snakerun ends in a fast, but mellow, 4-5foot bowl. Aweome time!

    LOVE SKATING.
TJ - Feel better and catch up with us next time.
Who's up for another Sunday morning trek into Bklyn. this Sunday. Summer weekends are limited and mine are filling up fast with commitments. I would like to get some road trips together. Dave was just down in Maryland and checked out Landsdowne. Open to any ideas.
I have been wanting to check out the Tarrytown area maybe for a Sunday trip. Maybe Rustyburitto might have some areas in the Albany area. Conneticut is cool. Any skateparks in Jersey that are longboard friendly?
We could do a day trip to Montauk. NYC crew always welcome.
    Input Please

Absolutely!! I'd say, drive down, Saturday, around 7:30-8Am, get there around.1:00PM/Park opens around 12PM (12PM and closes at 8PM). Skate all day Sat, crash, come home Sunday, early. Leave around 9AM to avoid traffic in SI and NYC-Brooklyn. Best western nearby ~60.00/night. I think it's worth it, but we can hit it anytime, so if schedules are tight we'll do it another time. I'm open to opinions!!

Right on!! Here are some vids to wet your appetite. The first shows the ditch on top, but the second one gives a better feel for the park and shows a lot of the bowl on the bottom.

    Enjoy!

Oh, if anyone is free tommorrow, I'll be at the meadowbrook bank between 12 and 1. Um, I'm kinda out for Sunday, if anyone wants to ride on Sat, give me a heads up.

Mike, Sayerville NJ has a nice park that will be good for longboards. I don't think it's that far either.

off topic, but I just really really wanted to show what I've spent the past two nights doing...Basically, after the east coast jam and seeing some wicked grip tape art, I decided that I would need to make a board where people would be like, "oh yeah, that's the dude with the crazy board." I probably won't be known for riding skills anytime or ever, but I'd be glad if everyone in the world knew me for the wicked gripped board:

A little bright and flashy, but I LOVE IT
and if you're wondering, it means beer in Chinese. I wanted to put the characters for my name, but I didn't want to step on my family name everytime I got on a board PS, i can't feel the tips of my fingers anymore...and it was totally worth it!

thats siiiiiiiick! im gonna have to try some griptape art on one of my boards one day. i dono whats goin on this weekend, but if anyone wants to skate friday night im probably gonna go up to that bank in plainview i was telling you guys about. me and chris just got back and we also found some sweeeeeet hills around the side streets, theyr pretty long and real steep in some spots. kinda a first for me skating hills like that. chris messed himself up pretty good on the first run, probably should have walked down it first. lots of fun anyway. if anyones down let me know. you guys going to any garages or park or anything on sat or whatever?
