ugh I hope you guys continue to session throughout the summer cus I am exited to meet you all. I hope to see you at the next sessions.... for this one I have a damn family reunion....
OK, hopefully rain will hold off sunday -- it's looking pretty good at the moment; so anyone who wants to skate some misc. spots in NYC, take the LIRR to Woodside station in NYC/Queens Sunday and we'll meet you at the station. i'm thinking early/mid- afternoon, but it's up to you guys when the best time to skate would be.
for starters, i'm thinking:
>backyard half-pipe and quarter-pipe (maybe grill out some food)
>skate a pretty nice hill for slides/carves about 10 blocks from my house
>a trip into the city for either central park or cloisters/ft tryon
>hit the banks under the brooklyn bridge
if oldnstoked drives in, we could also possibly check out that Jamaica garage i spotted if everyone has time in their schedule. and there's always prospect park. i'll send out a notice on Freshpaved too and see if anyone from NYC wants to join in on the session.
PM me and i'll send you my cell phone number if you don't already have it.. let me know when you want to arrive in Woodside.
i don't know about going into the city. if we did i would want to be back by like 5 ish? or 6 ish? i have no clue what to ride. I get out of work at 11 and i can probably take the train from manhasset straigh to you.
no problem, we can hang near my house; the city might be a stretch time-wise.
i have tons of park and street boards for the ramp, so don't worry about that. just bring your speed board that you had at the garage, and maybe if you have a deck that you slide with, if you do slides.
Hey NYC,
Who's interested in a laid-back Sunday afternoon backyard cookout and skate session on an aggressive 6-foot halfpipe with vert, plus a 4-foot quarterpipe in the parking lot next door?
A few guys from Long Island are coming out for the afternoon to skate, and we're thinking about hitting the ramps for a while, then maybe skating over to a hill nearby for slides/carving a little later on.
Feel free to bring friends/ family / girlfriends etc.. It should be a perfect day for hanging out on the first weekend of summer grilling out, listening to music and skating (just as long as the rain holds off).
Write back or give me a call and let me know if you're coming so I can make sure there's enough food / drinks for everyone.

honestly they weren't that great at all. they were basically just us going into the garage. if you guys really want ill throw it all together. we have to find a good garage and ill film us going down
man, this weather really pisses me off; it NEVER RAINED today even though it looked like it could storm any minute, just muggy and nasty all day long. i ended up skating the ramp for a while but gave up when i was dripping wet.
