NJ Fall Jam: Last Ride before Winter

Where: Hawthorne New Jersey
When: November 15, Saturday Raindate: November 16, Sunday
What to bring: Your Longboard and a good attitude, any food for cookin (I will get the dogs and burgers) any beverages of your choice. If you plan on bringing any adult beverages, I suggest Solo Cups for the park. My parents house is around the corner, so if we really feel the need....


Same deal as the big skate, we'll be going to do the giant slalom in the morning, and then the hills in the afternoon. We'll also be skating to the lot to do the slalom, so it'll be a cool little ride through the center of town. Sorry, no shirts or what not as of yet, but also no 10 buck fee or anything. This is just a get together to meet some fellow longboarders and have a good time..

Start time: Meet at the park at 10am, ride over to the lot at eleven. Anybody show up late just follow the road straight down to the parking lot, you'll see us.

Directions: Go to map Quest and type in Diamond Bridge Ave. Hawthorne, NJ 07506 It should then give you a choice of numbers, any number is fine ( the park entrance does not have a #) once you get to Diamond Bridge Ave, just follow the road till you see the park, its at the very begining of the street or the very end, depending how you come. you'll see a few baseball fields with a picnic area behind them, and a road leading down to that area off diamond bridge. I'll try to put up some signs on diamond bridge.

Well, its defenitly fate.......

I've been skateboarding in the same town all my life, since I was 8yrs old.
There has always been a bank in this town that all the local kids wished would get paved, but has always been unrideable. Cracks, rocks and grass growth had left it impossible even with the softest wheels.
Well after posting this on friday, on my way home from work, I almost got into a car accident. The bank was paved!!! Fresh pavement! Now this is no brooklyn banks or anything, but still fun none the less! It's even on the way to the lot I have in mind for this event!

I also plan on getting a video camera for this event, so maybe we can put the footage up on here afterwards. See you soon.

Oh, and for you guys comin from nyc, the train out of hoboken stops right in my town and even down the street from the parking lot if thats easier for you. email me or PM me if you need details.

By the way, the NJ/NY Longboarders should try to make it out to our event. We even have a cool hill one exit up from Vans Skatepark at a Park-n-Ride Commuter lot that is a blast to longboard on.

Thanks lbk, It'll be great to see you guys again. I even have two lots in mind for the slalom, one we can skate to from the park, the other would require to drive over to. It depends on what going on that day in either place and what everyone feels like doing. Defiently going to try and make that event on the 22nd.

Just so everyone knows, I am leaving for California tomorrow, and won't be back till next weds., so if any of your questions go un-answered just bare with me. I will get to you all as soon as I get back. See you soon 8)
