Montclair, NJ

Me and my girlfriend are more than likely moving to Montclair, NJ after April. This isn't exactly a definite yet, but we're getting a 2 family house her sister's landlord rents out, so we'd be living with her sister and her sisters boyfriend. Just wondering if there is good spots out there to skate? Are the cops assholes about bombing? Good parking structures? Nice parks? Any killer hills out there?

Seroiusly though, its not all that bad. We have some good spots but our roads are getting f-in wrecked cause of the sh*tty winter were having. There are some good garages, in fact I've been on scouting missions lately to find some around my neck of the woods. Haven't tested the security factor yet though.

Last year we had two NJ longboard get together type things, might have another one this year so just watch here for it. I'm trying to conjure up a garage bombing type get together.

Let us know when you get here man, there's quite a few of us Jersey boys on here (although I think most are hibernating through the winter) 8)

There's a few parks, all indoors and all ramp, one in Hackettstown (1hr from Montclair), one by Newark Airport (1/2 hr), one in West Orange (15-20 mins) , one in Lakewood (1hr -1hr15min). Those are the ones that I know of, there may be more.

Jersey is pretty cool, I dig it!

There are hills too, but like Rob said, be careful, they're all $hitted up this time of year with salt and sand. In the spring they clean 'em up.

Montclair eh? That's a nice place, useta be ritzy, probably still is. Telly Savales (Kojak!) use to have a house there. Check out the BIG houses on Upper Mountain Ave when you get there, they're sweet. When you see a Japanese Pagoda that sticks out like a sore thumb, that was Telly's place!

Oh, and never mind the cops, I'm the biggest a$$hole you'll run into!

I've lived in Virginia Beach, VA with my parents my parents for my whole 19yrs of existance, and she's got family in Jersey (Morris County) so I figure hey what the hell sounds cool, why not?. I need something new. I'll let you know when I get a definite on when we'll be there. I'm really into the whole parking structure thing, if I come up there we're gonna have to set up a little outlaw garage session.

My best friend lives down there. You ever ride the big ass parking garage thats right near all the bars around there? I know its like right around a whole strip of bars. I been there once, but was extremely drunk when I saw it, I could've hallucinated the whole thing

north jersey is a hole w/ tons of traffic...try to move to some where in ocean county...cause youll be closer to da beach....boiiiiiii!!
