That's also why I passed a cop car, waved and smiled, and continued to skate with the massive crowd surrounding me with no problems whatsoever. hrmm??

I hate to be a pessimist to what may seem like "publicity nonetheless," but can we kindly make our sport seem at least cop and law friendly? yeah, no kidding..... ######' new yorkers. haha, i kid. i love you guys (you especially dox!). seriously, my experience in NYC was one of the most positive in a long, long time. i was shocked by just how nice people were. but that may be because of my low expectations. already planning on coming back soon... maybe for new year's? do you guys skate year-round? i mean, do you get much snow down there? or do you just skate parking garages?

Not a lot of snow. Not a lot of parking garages either. You would think we got tons, but no. We definitely skate year round, though. It just gets cold, which probably isn't new to you. I probably won't be here new years cuz I usually go to SF for it. But everyone else will probably be around. Head over to the Friday Night RIP thread in the Crew section. That's the best way to keep up on what we NYCers are do'n.

as for new years?
yeah you are always welcome to come back and party with us, but i dont really skate much in winter. its cold and we're not nearly as hardcore as you canucks.some people will be skatiing though apparantly...

Hell yeah for skating through the winter. You can count me in for those cold winter friday nights. All about the stoke, no matter the weather.

same dude, cold rips are awesome!

hopefully i can make it out to a few winter rips, hitting the pavement hurts twice as bad!

Jam- you're Connor right? we skated Baker together this past summer. you came down with Nick Harris? i was talking to Mike D and a bunch of other Earthwing people and they said they didn't hear anything about that crazy car crash. me, Nick and K-Rimes almost died!! i'm surprised you haven't told anyone. i guess it wasn't as big of a deal for you as it was for me. haha

i am already planning my trip back... haha. thinking early december instead of new year's. will know closer to the date.

also, i can't believe this thread is already dying. has anybody seen the front page of Coast recently??
