new york city skate shops

hey

im looking for some skate stores that sell longboarding gear in NYC??

ive had a hunt around and cant find anything. maybe i suck at searching but where are they??

also any punk rock related stores would be rad too. as in vinyl etc

Well you will have more luck with the punk stuff than longboarding because all stores are predominantly catering to shortboarding. Check out ST. Marks place for some great vinyl and punk stuff. Check out generation records in greewich village 210 Thompson St. As for longboarding you have NY pipe dreams uptown. Blades in midtown and downtown on broadway. Those are the stores that I know of, you can try and google skate shops in nyc too. But to my knowledge I think there is another thread around here regarding shops in nyc. Good luck...enjoy ur stay.

Pipe Dreams is mediocre at best. Blades is ok. I suggest shopping online.

Funny story about Pipe Dreams. I went in and asked if they could get Zig Zags in for me. The manager looked at me funny and said, "We're not a headshop."

Wait, ####. I almost forgot. There's a new place open that's all about longboarding. I guess they started to stock Speedvents after Jam went in there and talked to them. It's in Brooklyn off the F-line. If you get off on the Smith/9th street stop, it's right there. It's called Homage. I don't know what their inventory's like. But I know they're trying to get the longboard scene.
