i go to ny alot so i may be up there. this race sounds pretty sweet tho as its cant be exclusivly downhill normal racing(i think) as the park just isnt built that way, and you gotta be a good pusher and have endurance. sounds sweet tho be sure to post pics/film the race

i skate around the park often, it's beautiful there. it's not a bad ride, minor hills for the most part, though at the north end there is a long ass hill to push up. it's greuling, and for the most part, i walk it.

i won't be racing that sat, as it's my b-day and i'm doing b-day things...

good luck to those who are racing.

And on this side of the pond, there's a longboard comp/jam at Watlington on that very day! Some details on the MAS/Lush sites. 8)

    as i said before:
it's not a bad ride, minor hills for the most part, though at the north end there is a long * hill to push up. it's greuling, and for the most part, i walk it.
it's a mellow ride, aside from that long uphill, it's easy to push.

it's about 7 miles round, so bear that in mind for your scouting mission.

    good luck

I was really dissapointed with the downhill session. Of course after a while I grew dissapointed with Firns. But yeah, you were really sweet at slalom.

The GS was so much fun, I think I might burn my G&T this weekend because the whole thing is sinking in like the sides and middle and it's unrideable

I'm registering to race just so I can ride with everyone. There's no way my fat a$$ stands any chance of placing though. I'm lucky if I can do the whole 7 miles 8)

Don't burn your Gin&Tonic yet, I'm planning another Skate Jam soon, which I plan on burning a dummy of Rick in effigy for everyone here who got ripped by him

You guys stirred up some interesting (and now after seeing how things developed, seem almost fitting) memories of that NJ thing...

Immediately after leaving the parking lot of the "NJ Big Skate Jam" and pointing the Chevy Astro van towards home, I felt the urge to immediately, should we say "take the kids to the pool".

I don't know if it's something about NJ gas station rest rooms or whatever, but after stopping at the 3rd one which had no TP or paper towels, a little quick thinking was in order.

Dang, the only readily available "material" that would do the job was that nice new white tee shirt with some orange and black printing on it, that was laying on the back seat. So the shirt adopted a new found purpose and may I note, it performed most admirably.

Nice. Mine's been used to dry my car. I'd actually wear it if it wasn't an XL and only fit my right arm though

Sorry guys, but it looks like I won't be seein ya at the park, scheduling issues have arisen (Damn I hate being responsible ) But keep your eyes peeled, I'm trying to pull another Jam together, I'm thinking in late June, early July. 8)
